Make the Big Green Switch in Second Life!
We've created a brilliant Big Green Switch treehouse eco-emporium [SL URL] within the Second Life world, offering a range of environmentally-friendly products and gadgets which can be picked up for free by Second Life residents.
The items range from small objects such as recycling bins and solar lights through to larger items such as solar panels, wind turbines and even full eco-homes!
Each item contains information and links to find out more about how it can be of environmental benefit in the real world. Residents are encouraged to take the items and spread them throughout the virtual world, at the same time spreading the message about smarter, greener living.
Carbon offset your Second Life
As well as the eco-freebies we're giving away, we're also offering SL residents the ability to carbon offset their Avatar’s carbon footprint.
Here's how it works - a SL user purchases our set of 10 beautiful exclusive trees for L$3000 and 100% of the money goes into our dedicated Big Green Switch offsetting fund. Periodically, the fund is converted into UK Sterling and invested in tree planting schemes via the UK's Tree Appeal organisation. SL land owners can also carbon offset their sim for a further L$1000. Visit the SL eco emporium to find out more. [SL URL]

So join us at our Second Life treehouse eco-boutique by clicking on this SL URL - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gourdneck/18/26/114 - and help us to spread the important
real-world environmental messages in the virtual world too!
